United Export, more commonly known as UEC, started business in 1939 in South Bend, Indiana. Our business began by selling fire fighting equipment to a petroleum company in Latin American. Early in the 1960’s we had one product and one customer. Today, nearly 70 years later, we enjoy regular business activity from over 200 customers, in as many as 75 different countries.

From our early beginnings, our product offering consisted of monitors and nozzles for fighting fires.Today, we still sell these products, which are complemented by fire hoses, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants. Nearly, all of which are either UL listed, FM approved, or both.In 1985, we accepted the task of representing the international concerns of the Kennedy Valve Company. Kennedy Valve is without question, one of the most recognized manufactures of valves for the fire service anywhere in the world. Kennedy dates its beginnings back to 1877, when Daniel Kennedy first started producing valves in New York.  While assisting Kennedy Valve, we discovered a whole new range of fire fighting products and sprinkler accessories, which today is our product foundation. From the fire hydrant street side, to the sprinkler head in the ceiling and everything between, UEC – your single  source for a myriad of fire fighting and fire protection products.
